multilingual and extensive studies
Multilingual and extensive studies, such as:
I am both an international lawyer (Master of Laws/LL.M.) and a Master of Arts, as well as a Swedish-speaking subject teacher. My legal education entails both studies in Finnish Economic Law and international studies in International Law completed in English.
During my university studies in International Law, I focused on International Criminal Law, the Laws of War, and, in particular, the role and status of women in International Law. I conducted two in-depth academic research projects on these subjects
- “Secondary victimization and the International Criminal Court - is the protection of SGBV women sufficient?”
- “Women and climate change – can International Law sufficiently protect women?”
- -> Studies showed that women are still at a disadvantage due to a lack of understanding or willingness to understand their problems. This is particularly regrettable in the case of sexual violence as a war crime.
Before the international university studies, I also studied two university modules in business management, as well as extensive studies in economic law. I conducted my bachelor's research on the subject:
- "Työnantajan työsuojeluvelvoite hometilanteessa ja homeesta aiheutuvan riskin arviointi." (English: "The employer's occupational safety and health obligation in the event of mold and the assessment of the risk caused by mold.")
I completed my first university master's degree in linguistics, studying Finnish, Swedish, German, English, Norwegian and Danish. I conducted my thesis on language acquisition:
- "Kan barn bli tv åspråkiga på det här sättet?" (English: ”Can children become bilingual in this way?")
